Overview
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Echoes, Advanced Duplicate Finder for Lightroom Classic, a plugin created to help identify probable duplicate and near-duplicate images using Lightroom metadata.
By downloading, installing, activating, or using the plugin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the plugin.
Software license
Echoes is licensed, not sold. Purchasing Premium grants you a perpetual license to use the plugin under the conditions described on this page.
- The Free plan may be used to evaluate the plugin with the stated scan limits.
- The Premium license removes the scan limit after successful activation.
- The license is intended for one individual user unless otherwise stated in writing.
- You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or provide the plugin as part of another commercial package.
Safe use and user responsibility
The plugin is designed not to delete, move, rename, or remove photos from Lightroom Classic automatically. It can create reports, suggest keepers, apply review keywords, create collections, and optionally mark duplicate candidates as rejected when enabled by the user.
You remain responsible for reviewing scan results before making cleanup decisions. Do not delete files from disk until you have confirmed that the original or preferred version is safely retained.
Compatibility
Echoes is intended for Adobe Lightroom Classic. Compatibility may depend on your Lightroom Classic version, operating system, catalog condition, permissions, and plugin installation environment.
The plugin is independently developed and is not endorsed, sponsored, or certified by Adobe.
License activation and retrieval
Premium licenses may require activation or license retrieval using the email address used at checkout. You are responsible for entering accurate checkout information and keeping access to the email account used for purchase.
If license retrieval fails, contact support with your purchase email and order details.
Updates
A perpetual license grants continued use of the purchased plugin version. Minor maintenance updates may be provided at no additional cost when available.
Major future versions, if released, may be offered as paid upgrades. We are not obligated to provide indefinite updates or new features.
Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or attempt to bypass licensing controls except where permitted by law.
- Share license keys publicly or with unauthorized users.
- Use the plugin in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
- Misrepresent the plugin as an Adobe product.
Disclaimer of warranties
The plugin is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that every duplicate will be found, that every suggested keeper will be correct, or that the plugin will be error-free in every catalog or system environment.
Always review reports and Lightroom results before taking destructive action outside the plugin.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of files, loss of profits, loss of data, or catalog disruption arising from use or inability to use the plugin.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the plugin is to stop using it and, where applicable, request a refund under the Refund Policy.
